An original Call of Duty!
Originality is a word that hasn't been associated much with this series lately, but it is still the perfect word to describe Call of Duty: World at War!
The graphics are naturally of lesser quality than on the home consoles, but the gameplay is the standout feature here. It makes great use of the touchscreen; at first, it might feel quite awkward in the initial level, but once you get used to the gameplay, you have to admit that it offers a very different yet enjoyable Call of Duty experience!
There are also many mini-games where, for example, you have to send Morse code; these are fun but sometimes occur just a bit too frequently! The World War 2 setting is also very stylish! Call of Duty: World at War for the DS is a pleasant CoD for on-the-go once you've gotten used to the controls.

Best shooter for the DS
Call of Duty: World at War is in my opinion the best shooter of all time. To start with, the story mode is truly amazing. This Call of Duty is set in World War II and you play as the Russians and the Americans. Furthermore, the game features a good variety of weapons and is grittier than its predecessors. The graphics may take some getting used to, but they are better compared to other shooters for the DS. The controls, as expected on the DS, are a bit awkward, but significantly better than usual. The PlayStation/Xbox versions are indeed much better in pretty much every aspect. However, I think they did a great job bringing an awesome shooter to the DS!
