Another Kirby gem!
Kirby: Power Paintbrush is a top game for the DS. Fun music, nice graphics, and enjoyable levels. But what makes this game truly fantastic is its unique concept and controls. Kirby is controlled using the stylus. By drawing lines and shapes, you can make Kirby move and defeat his enemies. So, if you're looking for a game that truly maximizes the stylus and provides a unique gaming experience, then this is the game for you.

Unique, but not quite great
Kirby: Power Paintbrush is a very unique game. You control Kirby with the stylus. You draw lines for Kirby to move over or under. It feels really good, navigating Kirby in large open areas is delightful. However, there's a little issue; the game lacks those large open areas. Often, you have very little space and Kirby keeps bumping into enemies because you can't draw a line quickly enough. There are many other things like this. The game becomes difficult after just a few levels for all the wrong reasons. The levels are confusing, the underwater sections are terrible, and Kirby often doesn't do what you want him to do.
The concept is good and as I mentioned, in some levels and areas, the controls feel fantastic. Unfortunately, this isn't frequent enough, and the rest of the game is frustrating, challenging, and simply not good. It's a shame because this game could have been amazing if the levels had been better.
