Mario Party DS holds its own against the main series!
Mario Party has always been a special series. The fun it brings with friends is unparalleled. So when Mario Party DS came out, it was time to start playing right away!

The DS version definitely doesn't fall short compared to the main series on consoles. There are a nice variety of 5 game boards, each with its own theme, such as music or plants. Each game board is filled with funny and game-changing events. The Mario Party fun is definitely back! Combined with 8 cool characters to choose from, the battle for the most stars is as lively as ever!

What the series is known for are the mini-games. In this game, there are again plenty of mini-games to play. The controls vary and work well in all cases. Both button controls and touchscreen controls are well implemented.

This game introduces a real story mode in Mario Party with boss battles even. That makes it quite interesting for the solitary player as well. The game's playing time is thus nicely extended. Additionally, there are some other game modes, like a puzzle mode, which are definitely worth it.

Mario Party DS is how a Mario Party game on a handheld should be. A perfect translation of the console games to the DS.

Competitive Fun
Mario Party DS is a real gem if you enjoy Mario mini-games and have a bit of a competitive streak. This game is already a lot of fun thanks to the various mini-games, but it becomes even more enjoyable when playing with friends. Just connect with them, form teams, or play individually.
The mini-games are good, fun, and just the right length. It's a great idea that in many mini-games, you're not just playing for yourself but can also play 2v2 or 1v3, adding a strategic element alongside luck with the dice rolls. A superb game!

Great party game!!!
I used to play Mario Party DS for hours. The boards and mini-games are fantastic and very creatively designed. There's even a storyline in the game.

The storyline revolves around Mario and his friends being invited to dine with Bowser. He wants to apologize to them. Mario and his friends go there. When they arrived, they were shrunk by Bowser. And you have to help them play through the boards.

Furthermore, there are traditional mini-games and additional modes that are also great. The game supports download play to enjoy with all your friends. The music and gameplay are also good, so you really get a top-notch experience with this game.

Very good Mario Party, just like on console!!!
This game is a very strong Mario Party for the DS. Everything you can find on the console, you can also find here. The game has fun mini-games, original boards, and frustratingly easy computer opponents. The graphics are relatively good and the touchscreen provides interesting possibilities for the mini-games. By the way, Mario Party DS is not recommended if you often play alone!

Fighting with or against each other...
Personally, I don't find it enjoyable to play this game on my own. However, when you can play Mario Party DS with four people, it's fantastic! Battling with and against each other makes everything 10 times more fun. That's why I recommend buying this game if your friends also have a DS and you all play together regularly.

A real friends game
The game Mario Party DS is especially fun when played with a group of friends. Playing the board game on the Nintendo DS together is absolutely fantastic. The competition among friends when one wins the mini-game and the other just falls short... It's a real battle, very enjoyable!

Very enjoyable and a bit addictive
I find Mario Party DS a very enjoyable game! You take turns rolling the dice. Then you play a mini-game, you have to earn money and when you land on the star, you can buy it with the money you have saved up.

Amazing!
Creating a good Mario Party game on a handheld console is challenging. The essence of what makes Mario Party fun, playing with others, is difficult to achieve on a handheld device. However, this game has managed to solve this issue quite well. The mini-games are enjoyable, the boss battles between boards are challenging, and even when playing alone, the game feels very complete. Mario Party DS comes highly recommended.

One of the Most Underrated Mario Games
Mario Party DS is a very underrated Mario title and is often overlooked. I think the game is fantastic! You have 8 characters to play with: Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, Peach, Daisy, and Toad! The mini-games are fun but not very special. The controls are very good though! I really enjoyed the storyline. There are even 6 bosses to defeat! Don't hesitate, it's a really good game!

Super fun game to play with friends.
Mario Party DS may be an old game by now, but it's still just as enjoyable. I used to play this game a lot in the past, and each time was a brilliant experience filled with laughter and fun.

All the boards in the game look really fun and original, providing a unique experience and gameplay each time.

The mini-games are as fun as ever, with activities like having to draw a Cheap Cheap on the touchscreen and the best drawing winning. Truly enjoyable for the whole family.

The only downside to the game, in my opinion, is the lack of characters. There just aren't that many to choose from, which means some classic favorites you might want to play with are unfortunately missing.
