Sega has outdone itself!!
Extremely good compilation of mini games. Sega has truly outdone itself with this Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games title.
Starting with the characters. In previous versions, there were 16 characters, now there are 20. There are many more sports to play.

But perhaps the most beautiful thing about this version is the story mode. It's about Bowser and Dr. Eggman wanting to ruin the Olympic Games. Bowser has melted the snow and you have to save the Olympic Games. Along the way, you will encounter friends of Mario & Sonic who can help you on your journey.

There is also an online leaderboard. So, you can go for world records!
Overall, a top game from Sega, definitely recommended.

A fun game, but don't forget about the Wii version!
In Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, you play various sports to defeat your friends and the computer opponents. The game features a single-player story mode where you can compete against the computer, but the most enjoyable part is definitely playing against and with friends.

In this game, you take on the roles of the main characters from Sonic & Mario and try to perform various winter sports as fast and skillfully as possible. This is quite well done, although I personally prefer them on the Wii. The DS version relies more on its story mode, which is almost absent in the Wii version. The story mode is quite enjoyable because instead of the usual 'score as many points as possible' approach, it presents missions like 'break as many snow blocks as you can'. The music in this game is decent, and the graphics are also decent, just like the music.

I recommend this game especially for the story mode, but if you want to play the game more with friends, I would definitely go for the Wii version of Mario and Sonic.

Interaction and Fun with Mario & Sonic on the DS
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games for the Nintendo DS offers a delightful mix of sport and arcade fun, bringing together your favourite characters from the Mario and Sonic franchises in a competitive setting. In my opinion, the game makes good use of the unique features of the Nintendo DS, such as the touchscreen and microphone, which provide varied and interactive gameplay that you won’t forget in a hurry.

Although the graphical quality isn’t impressive compared to the console version, it remains colourful and appealing. The variety of sports is extensive, ranging from skiing to ski jumping, which keeps the game interesting. However, some minigames can feel repetitive over time. In multiplayer mode, you can play locally with friends, which adds extra fun and gives the game a social dimension that I really appreciate.

An interesting addition to the Nintendo DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is the Story Mode. In this mode, Mario, Sonic, and their friends face a new adventure where they must stop Bowser and Dr. Eggman, who plan to sabotage the Olympic Winter Games by freezing the entire event. The story may be simple, but it’s very entertaining, offering great content for single-player. All in all, the game provides enjoyable but light content that is more suited for casual players or younger gamers looking for an accessible and fun experience.

You can fill the museum in Frostville with all kinds of items from Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. This is possible if you talk to Rouge. For each item, she wants 3 stones. You can find stones in the ground, or in snowman hats and chests.

Later in the game, when Wario and Waluigi join you, you will receive a stone detector that makes a sound when you are close to a stone.
