One of the best RPGs for the platform is Radiant Historia! I loved the deep story. It revolves around someone who can manipulate time to explore and change different timelines. The narrative has a lot of depth, with moral dilemmas and complex character development, making it much more interesting than many other RPGs I've played on the DS.
The battles are turn-based and utilise a grid system, where the positioning of enemies and your team is strategically important for achieving success. The time travel mechanics ensure that your choices in one timeline affect the others, making the story variable and adding to its replay value.
The graphics are really beautiful for a DS game, featuring a charming anime style and well-developed characters and environments. The music also fits the atmosphere perfectly. Truly a masterpiece on the DS, with an engaging story, strategic battles, and a unique time travel mechanic.
