Fantastic remake of a classic
Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64, I've played it to death, so a remake of this classic on the Nintendo DS was highly anticipated. Not only for the possibility to play it on the go, but also for the slightly polished graphics and even extra content!

In Super Mario 64, it's up to Mario to rescue Princess Peach from the clutches of Bowser. From the familiar castle, you jump into paintings to enter the 3D worlds. In each level, you need to collect stars. Some stars are easily accessible, while others are linked to specific missions, like a boss battle, collecting 8 red coins, or a race against Koopa Troopa. Variety and diversity are definitely present, both within each 'level' and across all worlds. From a desert with a fully explorable pyramid to a snow world with an icy slide, you'll see it all!

The remake adds some novelties, such as new environments to explore, allowing you to unlock 3 new characters. Luigi, Wario, and Yoshi even have their own unique abilities! Mini-games have also been included, playable in multiplayer mode! Additionally, there's the Versus mode, where you compete against each other in a smaller 3D environment to collect the most stars.

Graphically, the game has improved significantly, although the capabilities of the Nintendo DS are not top-notch. Nevertheless, Super Mario 64 DS manages to make the most of it. In terms of controls, the game is well-designed. The DS's D-pad surprisingly works well for this 3D Mario adventure.

All in all, we can say that this remake of a true classic has become a classic in its own right. Did you miss the original? Then this revised version is definitely worth it!

Super Mario 64 DS is an innovative remake
Super Mario 64 DS is a remake of the popular game Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64. I know that most people think of a remake as: "Pfft, same old thing." but that's not the case with this remake.

One of the major changes is the number of stars. In the original Super Mario 64, there were 120 stars to collect. Well, in this game, there are 150! The stars can be found in various ways. Some are found in the worlds, some in the castle, and some when you collect 100 coins in a place. Can you find them all?

You can also play with other characters now. In the original game for the Nintendo 64, you could only play as Mario, but in this game, you can even play as Luigi, Wario, and Yoshi! You start the adventure with Yoshi and unlock the other characters as you collect more stars.

The characters also have their own abilities. Yoshi can use his tongue to swallow some enemies, Mario can hit enemies and break some stones, Luigi can jump higher and farther, and Wario can break all stones.

A very good remake of the original!!!
Super Mario 64 DS is a remake of the classic Mario 64 on the N64. And it does this very well! The game is better, the framerate is higher, the textures are better, and finally, characters have been added. All of this together makes the game a great remake of an already good classic. One downside is the poor controls: you don't have a joystick like with the N64. This makes controlling Mario a bit difficult at times.

Very large game
In this game, you can play as multiple characters compared to the original Super Mario 64 on the N64. The game features many levels in various variations that can keep you entertained for many hours. The controls can be quite tricky at times with the d-pad. Rotating Bowser, for example, is difficult because the DS doesn't have a joystick like a real controller. For a handheld game, Super Mario 64 DS is indeed one of the better 3D games.

Great remake of the N64 version
The game is a remake of the amazing Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64. It was the first Mario game released in 3D at that time. A major difference between then and now is the controls. Because it was one of the first 3D games on the Nintendo 64, the controls were not as great and didn't always cooperate as you would want. In this remake, the controls are much better, although there are still some small glitches at times. Additionally, the game is full of fun characters and levels, which altogether provide hours of gameplay enjoyment.

A fantastic remake of a revolutionary game!
Once upon a time, the gaming industry faced a major leap. Games transitioned from 2D to 3D. Super Mario 64 was one of the first franchises to take the leap and set the bar high for all games that followed. The transition to 3D was executed so perfectly that even to this day, people still consider Super Mario 64 as one of the best games in the series!

Legendary fun game recommended for everyone
When I first played Super Mario 64 DS, I didn't know how the game worked, but it quickly became clear what the intention was, as it's not a complicated game.

The game doesn't really have a tutorial or anything like that, but in my opinion, that actually makes it better, because then you can discover everything yourself, and when you combine that with open-world gameplay and Mario, you have a legendary game in your hands. Even though this is a remake of an existing game, it still adds many things that set the two games apart, making it definitely worth playing if you've already played the original game.

The fact that you can go anywhere you want and have complete freedom in the whole world makes it a very enjoyable experience. The order in which you collect stars doesn't matter at all, giving the player even more freedom to choose.

A downside of the game is the controls, as you have to play with a D-pad in a 3D game. This makes moving Mario or other characters a bit more challenging, and even if you play the game on a 3DS, you still only have 8 directions to move in, because that's how the game is programmed.

Definitely one of the best remakes ever made. I've played the N64 version myself, but I seriously think Super Mario 64 DS plays better. The graphics are gorgeous in this version.

Super Mario 64 DS, I have no clue where to start. In my opinion, this is the best game ever made. I still find it crazy that such a huge game is playable on the DS, but hey. Everything about this game is perfect: the levels, the characters, the boss fights, literally everything. There's so much variety. The N64 version was good, but this one is even better.

There are 4 characters you can play with. They are Yoshi, Mario, Luigi, and Wario. Originally, Waluigi was supposed to be part of it too, but he was cut at the last moment. All 4 characters play differently. Yoshi can eat enemies and spit fire. Luigi can jump higher, run faster, and has a spin jump. Wario is strong and can break the black blocks. And Mario is balanced.

Possibly the best Mario games ever made!
Super Mario 64 DS is a remake of Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64. And it turned out well! You have 30 more stars to collect. So, you have 150 stars to collect! They have added even more new levels. However, the controls on older DS devices are not great. The d-pad doesn't work well with the game. If you have a 3DS, it's not a problem! The graphics have also improved significantly. Do not hesitate. This might just be the best Mario game ever made!

When you have defeated Bowser for the first time in Super Mario 64 DS, you will receive a key with a golden Bowser head (only his head, not his eyes, etc.). With this kind of glitch, you can do a lot of long jumps in a second in Super Mario 64 DS. (It's easiest with Wario.) Before crossing the bridge to the castle, go to the left fence (it works best there). Then start running against it and do long jumps at an angle, hold down the R button and press the jump button every second. Have fun.
